If you listed travel as one of your resolutions for 2023, you still have two months to book a flight from George Bush Intercontinental Airport or William P. Hobby Airport. And if you’re a Houston Rockets fan, how about a trip to Taipei, Taiwan?! EVA Air is celebrating its resumption of daily flights between Bush Airport and Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan by signing a multi-year partnership with the Houston Rockets.  EVA’s new role as an “Official Partner of the Houston Rockets” will run through 2026 and feature EVA Air as the Presenting Partner of the team’s annual Filipino Heritage Night as well as prominently displayed on signage throughout Toyota Center beginning with the team’s 2023 season home opener on October 29. Other Asian destinations to consider are Tokyo, Japan and Singapore. You can book flights to Tokyo through ANA or United Airlines. You can also fly from Houston to Singapore via Singapore Airlines, which stops in Manchester, United Kingdom. The famous shopping belt on Orchard Road is spectacularly lit up every December to ramp up the festive mood across the island country in Southeast Asia. 

They say Paris is beautiful during the holidays, and a non-stop Air France flight can get you to the Eiffel Tower just in time for the daily light show. Should you want to take in the sights in Frankfurt, United Airlines and Lufthansa both offer direct flights to the popular German destination. 

If you need to burn vacation time by the end of the year and would prefer to stay in North America, consider Canada. Both United Airlines and WestJet offer direct flights to Calgary while Air Canada is connecting Houston to Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, one of Canada’s most ethnically diverse cities. 

If you’d prefer to celebrate the holidays basking on a beach far away from those itchy ugly Christmas sweaters, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines fly to Belize City, Belize. You can reach Belize from either Bush or Hobby airports. You can also stamp your passport in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Flights out of Bush Airport on Spirit Airlines and United Airlines will get you to the historic city that was founded in 1536. 

Winter means the start of seasonal flights to domestic hotspots like Aspen, Colorado and Bozeman, Montana. United Airlines begins service to both destinations in December.
