Ellington Airport hosted the annual Wings Over Houston Airshow on October 14 and 15. Approximately 90,000 people enjoyed the show, marveling at aerobatic aerial displays, speaking to various members of the military and flying community, and watching history come alive both in the air and on the ground. This year, the USAF Thunderbirds took to the sky alongside performances from the F-35 Lightning demo team, USCG Air Station Houston MH-65D helicopter, and the Tora! Tora! Tora! recreation of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, local EFD pilots and father-and-son duo John and Shane McGillis, and many more. On the ground, a variety of aircraft were on display ranging from World War II era planes such as the B-17 Yankee Lady and C-47 That's All Brother to modern planes such as the KC-135 Stratotanker and the P8 Poseidon. Thank you to all the people who helped make this airshow another success!
