Several Houston Airport senior staff members were front and center at the Greater Houston Black Chamber, GHBC, Aviation Day Forum held virtually in late November 2021.
J’Maine Chubb, Chief Financial Officer, Charlene Reynolds, Chief Commercial Officer, and Jarrett Simmons, Chief Development Officer and Deputy Director, Infrastructure, all delivered well-received presentations at the Chamber’s forum. The forum was designed to allow its members to learn about contracting opportunities with Houston Airports.
Carol Guess, the Chamber’s Interim President, said “We’d like to also thank the Houston Airport System for continuing to be a sponsor of the Chamber for many, many years. They have consistently supported us in our endeavors and our members as far as obtaining business and contracting opportunities.”
Rhonda Arnold, Houston Airports’ Chief Community Relations and Business Affairs Officer and a longtime GHBC Advisory Board Member, also delivered introductory remarks and introduced her airport colleagues.
Arnold discussed the structure of Houston Airports, a large multi-airport system that is comprised of George Bush Intercontinental Airport, William P. Hobby Airport and Ellington Airport which includes the Houston Spaceport. She lauded Houston Airports’ leadership and the significance of her team members and their roles in the airport system’s functioning and success.
Chubb, Reynolds, and Simmons all delivered presentations highlighting their areas of responsibility. There was also a discussion of upcoming airport system projects with potential opportunities for business partners.
The GHBC was founded in 1935 and is considered by many as the “go-to” organization for business development and community outreach partnership opportunities in Houston’s vibrant African American community.
