Houston Airports recently named J'Maine Chubb as its new Chief Financial Officer. He brings over 20 years of finance and accounting experience in the private and not-for-profit sectors and most recently served as Assistant Director of Accounting for the airport system.
Chubb will be responsible for the overall financial health of the HAS. As part of the Executive Team, the CFO provides financial leadership by working with the Executive Management Team to establish long-range financial goals, strategies and plans while also ensuring that short-term funding needs are met. Chubb plays a leading role in driving HAS' "Build the Platforms for Future Success" strategic priority, as he helps HAS maintain fiscal discipline, fund capital improvements and pursue revenue growth opportunities.
As HAS’ AD, Accounting, Chubb provided direction and leadership for General Accounting, Financial Reporting, Account Receivable, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets and Government Grant Administration groups. He led and engaged an accounting and finance organization of 30 employees while utilizing his expertise to resolve and audit issues. Previously, Chubb held senior accounting positions at CITGO Petroleum Corporation, Halliburton and Schlumberger. Prior to his experience in the oil and gas sector, Chubb held accounting positions at Toyota, the State of Georgia and the State of Michigan.
Chubb holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wayne State University. He holds Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certificates and is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Texas.
