Houston Airports offer the traveling public four interfaith chapels dedicated to providing a place of comfort, meditation, worship and aid for the traveling public and the airport community.

The Interfaith Chapels are located in Terminal C and Terminal D at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), and in the baggage area and across from gate 42 at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU). They serve  airport employees as well as the traveling public, which includes 55 million annual passengers from around the world who fly not only on business and pleasure trips, but also on missions of sorrow, illness, and personal tragedy on a daily basis.

“Traveling can be stressful, and sometimes we travel for reasons that intensify that stress like a funeral or a deployment,” said Chaplain James Bridgewater. “The Interfaith Chapels provide a place of comfort and peace no matter your religious background, all are welcomed here.”

The interfaith chapels offer a variety of worship services for different faith traditions.   Every religion and sect is recognized and each tradition is valued and respected for its benefit to mankind.

Fundraisers are held throughout the year to help when emergencies arise. The Chaplaincy recently donated funds to over 30 Houston flood victims. It also offer scholarships for continued education.
