Houston Airports is a recipient of the 2023 Mayor Turner Champion of Inclusion (COIN) City Department Award. The intentional work done by the Aviation Risk and Regulatory Compliance Division (ARRC) to create a more inclusive and accessible space is one of the many reasons Houston Airports was selected by the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities.
Houston Airports features a list of services designed to be more accessible and inclusive at both George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport including a language interpretation; Aira services for the visually impaired; accessible parking spaces; companion care changing rooms; and service animal relief areas.
“I’m so excited to share ARRC’s recognition by the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities for our work in promoting accessibility,” said Jocelyn LaBove, Chief Aviation Risk and Regulatory Compliance Officer. “I want to personally thank my entire team for their commitment to compliance and creating inclusive spaces at Houston Airports. In working with our external and internal partners, we are achieving something special.”
