"Thank you for all of the behind-the-scenes magic you perform while on the job every single day,” said Jim Szczesniak, Director of Aviation for Houston Airports.
Houston Airports celebrated Administrative Professionals’ Day by honoring the men and woman who keep all divisions of Houston Airports running at record efficiency and speed. This is the first time that Houston Airports has organized a large-scale event to celebrate administrative professionals across George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), Ellington Airport (EFD), the Houston Airports Administration Building and other Support Services facilities.
Commemorated annually on the Wednesday of the last full week of April, Administrative Professionals' Day recognizes the vital role that administrative professionals play in organizations. These dedicated individuals provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of businesses. At Houston Airports, administrative professionals keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, from managing calendars and schedules to processing paperwork and travel arrangements and collaborating with other aviation and aerospace stakeholders to ensure clear communication between the parties. They are the backbone of the organization, ensuring efficiency and productivity across all departments.
"Thank you for all of the behind-the-scenes magic you perform while on the job every single day,” said Jim Szczesniak, Director of Aviation for Houston Airports when addressing the team. “You are the unsung heroes of our organization. You keep management organized, informed and inspired. You work, relentlessly to elevate the passenger experience while working to support the continued growth of our airports and organization. We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for your continued hard work.”
A vast majority of the 50 Houston Airports Administrative Professionals were able to attend the event that was held at the Houston Airports Infrastructure Division Office and supported by External Affairs and the Workforce Innovation and Development divisions.
"The dedication, competence, and tireless efforts of our administrative professionals are instrumental in creating a smooth and positive experience for our passengers,” said Kelly Woodward, Chief Operating Officer for Houston Airports. “I am grateful for their immeasurable contributions and proud to celebrate them on Administrative Professionals' Day.”
Director Szczesniak, COO Woodward and Houston Airports Senior Staff treated the team to a catered lunch from Killen’s Barbeque. Each recognized employee also received a custom drink tumbler.
