"We're thrilled to launch Phase 2 and continue transforming Hobby Airport into a premier travel hub," said Francisco Cuellar, Chief Commercial Development Officer for Houston Airports. "This phase expands our partnership with local favorites while strengthening our national brand presence, offering passengers an unparalleled dining experience."
William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is moving forward with the second phase of its comprehensive concession improvement project. This phase, focused on expanding and diversifying the dining options for passengers, officially began construction earlier this month.
Building on the success of Phase 1, which introduced popular local and national brands, Phase 2 promises an even more diverse and passenger-centric food and beverage experience.
Passengers can look forward to a variety of new eateries, including:
- The Rustic: Renowned for its casual atmosphere and farm-to-table fare, The Rustic will bring authentic Texan hospitality to the airport.
- Throughgood Coffee: Coffee aficionados will find haven in Throughgood Coffee, offering artisanal brews and fresh pastries.
- Chick-fil-A: Passengers can satisfy their cravings for classic chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.
- Pei Wei: This addition brings a delectable selection of Asian-inspired dishes to the airport.
- Starbucks (x2): Dual Starbucks locations, conveniently situated on either side of TSA security, ensure easy access to coffee and snacks before or during flights. Both locations will offer mobile ordering for added convenience.
"Passenger experience remains our top priority," said Libby Hurley, Assistant Director of In Terminal Sales for Houston Airports. "Phase 2 reflects our commitment to evolving with passenger needs and preferences. We're confident these new restaurants will create a food and beverage experience unlike any other at Hobby Airport."
While construction progresses, minimal disruptions are anticipated. Passengers can still access grab-and-go options at temporary concessions stands located in the Ticketing Lobby as the pre-security concessions space undergoes renovation for the new Starbucks. The exciting new dining options are expected to open this fall.
