William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) has been on a good run.
A record 14-plus million passengers traveled through HOU, the 36th-busiest airport in the United States, in 2018.
2019 marked the fourth year in a row that HOU was certified by airport ratings entity Skytrax as a 4-star facility for the departure, arrival and transfer experience. Skytrax carefully evaluated the airport facilities, terminal comfort and cleanliness, shopping, food and beverages, staff service, and security/immigration.
Yes, it has been a good run – and the run continues! HOU is hosting its inaugural Hobby Halloween Fun Run from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. Register here.
Trai Hicks, Assistant Customer Services Manager at HOU, said, “I would like to personally invite you all to this fun run – which can also be jogged or walked accordance to your preference. This will be a 2.5-mile run on the airfield. Because it’s close to Halloween, costumes are preferred but not required.”
Hicks said that all monies raised will be donated to charity via the City and Houston Airport System’s ongoing Combined Municipal Campaign. The Combined Municipal Campaign gives city employees the opportunity to demonstrate their strong sense of community by supporting environmental, health and social welfare issues that concern the citizens of Houston. The annual fundraising drive began in August and continues through October. It is run by city employees as a way for them to give to charitable organizations of their choice.
Spacing is limited and only the first 200 participants will be registered.
Parking is free, and medals, shirts, and bibs will be given to all runners.
Help HOU’s good run continue by participating!
