Frontier Airlines recently announced plans to add two new destinations from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

Nonstop service from Houston to Atlanta and Cincinnati will begin in April. Flights to Atlanta will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and flights to Cincinnati will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

“Houston Airports is excited to be a part of Frontier's continuing efforts to expand the options for its customers,” said Molly E. Waits, director of air service development for the Houston Airport System. “They've provided service to Houstonians for more than a decade, and now are offering an even wider variety of options for Houston travelers.”

The announcement came less than a month after Frontier began nonstop daily service from Bush Intercontinental to Orlando. With these new routes, Frontier now offers nonstop service from Houston to Denver, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Orlando, Atlanta and Cincinnati, as well as seasonal service to Philadelphia.

“Travelers between big cities have enjoyed low fares while many markets have remained overpriced and underserved,” said Frontier Airlines President Barry Biffle. “Frontier’s low fares in these new markets will benefit millions of new fliers who are forced to drive because they haven’t found affordable air travel options – or they simply stay at home.
