Customer Care and Safety Robot Now Welcoming Travelers at Bush Airport
January 13, 2021
Safety and customer service are top priorities at Houston Airports. With this mind, Houston Airports is leveraging technology to deliver a new asset to customers.
Passengers will soon notice a customer care and safety autonomous robot patrolling the Terminal C parking garage at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, IAH. In addition to its safety role, the approachable and friendly robot interacts with customers and assists them with vehicle issues such as dead batteries, flat tires and lockouts.
The robot, a Knightscope K5 Autonomous Data Machine, is currently patrolling between 1 to 3 mph in the Terminal C garage 24 hours a day, seven days a week as a part of a pilot program.
