June 17, 2020

On cue with pre-summer temperatures heating up in Houston, Allegiant Air (Allegiant), a new airline option, began flying out of William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) on June 1.

Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue, recently said, “We know area travelers will enjoy our convenient, nonstop, ultra-low-cost flights just in time for summer travel and also know Houston will be a popular destination in our system.”

Allegiant recently began new seasonal routes to following:

· Knoxville, Tennessee, via McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS)

· Asheville, North Carolina, via Asheville Regional Airport (AVL)

· Savannah, Georgia via Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV)

· Fort Walton Beach, Florida, via Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS)

Allegiant’s nonstop, twice-weekly flights will depart HOU for Knoxville, Tenn., Asheville, N.C., Savannah, Ga., and Fort Walton Beach, Fla. The four nonstop flights are currently seasonal offerings scheduled through mid-November. Their performance in the coming months will determine Allegiant’s winter schedule at HOU.

Houston Airports was thrilled to welcome Allegiant to the Houston market and to HOU in June 2020. Allegiant offers a unique option to Houston-area travelers with low base airfare and savings on rental cars and hotels. Travelers can book their entire vacation with Allegiant for less.

Allegiant offers more than 500 routes to 127 destinations across the United States.
