AirBridgeCargo expands air cargo service in Houston.
AirBridgeCargo Airlines began new regular freight service between Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Abu-Dhabi on May 23, 2016 as part of its expanded international network.
AirBridgeCargo’s new flight will be operated weekly, departing Houston on Mondays via Chicago and Luxembourg to Abu-Dhabi, returning to Moscow to provide customers in the southern United States a new regular service route to Europe, the United Arab Emirates and, finally, to Moscow, with connectivity options throughout the carrier’s network.
From Luxembourg, AirBridgeCargo offers an extensive range of trucking services to cover continental Europe, and from Abu Dhabi trucking services offer connections to two area airports.
“The Introduction of a Houston flight is something that has been on our agenda for quite some time as we have been expanding our presence in the USA and exploring cities which are of great demand among our customers offering better coverage to the market as a whole,” said Hendrik Falk, ABC’s vice president North and South America. “We are delighted to add Houston and Abu-Dhabi into our growing list of destinations to provide an excellent direct connection from the Houston area to key markets in Russia and the Middle East. We expect that the oil and gas industry in particular will benefit from this new service flight, while we also look forward to offering our new service to other industries, and will continue to ask our sales force to develop this destination further for other commodities.”
With the expansion, AirBridgeCargo will offer Houston-area customers access to important destinations in Europe and the UAE as well as to its network destinations like Singapore and Johannesburg.
“Houston’s global profile is stronger than ever before, and a driving force behind that is the growing number of global connections made through George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport,” said Mario Diaz, Director of Aviation for the Houston Airport System. “It takes committed partners like AirBridgeCargo Airlines to serve as a conduit for goods and services from around the world that strengthen those connections and make Houston a truly international destination for business and beyond. We are delighted to have AirBridgeCargo among our carriers, especially understanding the scale of its achievements and performance.”
Apart from opening new market horizons to customers in Houston, this new service also compliments AirBridgeCargo’s existing frequencies from Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles, thus reinforcing the carrier’s position in the North American market while guaranteeing high level of service quality and opening up seamless connections to Europe, Far East and Southeast Asia.
