September 29, 2014

Get a taste of what awaits you on Korean Air when a special food truck offers free samples of the international carrier’s in-flight meals.

From Sept. 29 through Oct. 26, a food truck with two flight crews and a catering chef from Korea will travel to various venues around the Houston area. On board will be three examples of the in-flight meals offered to Korean Air passengers, and visitors can sample the meals free of charge.

The tour kicks off with an appearance in downtown Houston on Sept. 29 at GE Oil & Gas, 11150 Equity Drive, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. After that, the truck — fully wrapped with the Korean Air colors and images — will park close to top ranked energy corporation offices between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. On weekends it will venture out to local events in the Houston area, as well as locations in Kemah and Galveston.

Sample meals will include the airline's award-winning Bibimbap (a vegetable/meat/rice bowl entrée), Bulgogi-deob-bap (thin-sliced marinated meat in a sweet soy sauce over rice) and Galbi-jjim (braised short ribs.)
