New Concessions Take Flight at Hobby Airport
September 7, 2016

Passengers at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) are being met with a wide assortment of retail, dining and services options. The Houston Airport System has completed its new concessions program roll out, bringing nationally known brands as well as local favorites to the more than 12 million travelers who pass through the airport each year.

“The concession program is an important part of the customer experience and is integrated into the overall operation of the airport,” Houston Aviation Director Mario Diaz said. “We wanted to create value for our passengers who use our airports to travel across the state or around the world. We were looking for products and services that satisfied the needs, wants and desires of our passengers.”

The final lineup provides a variety of products and services and meets the ambitious goals set out when the Houston Airport System moved forward with plans to enhance the choices and customer experience at Houston Airports.

  • Achieve exceptional customer service and experience
  • Showcase Houston as a premier, world-class destination
  • Create a sense of place
  • Meet the needs of U.S.  and international passengers
  • Offer greater variety and quality in products and services
  • Encourage innovative, unique and exciting concepts

Skytrax, recognized as a leading global air transport rating organization, gave Hobby Airport a 4-star rating for 2016, making it one of just three airports in the United States to earn a 4-star rating, while adding that "airside dining is a particular strong point for an airport of this size – the layout, selection and quality of the dining options is excellent."

“I am positive that our customers will be delighted by the products and services the new concessions program will offer,” said Houston Airport System Director of Concessions Randy Goodman. “We are aiming to enhance our customer’s airport experience with new concepts, more choices and options as well as highly requested services.”
