Hola Houston! Visits Mexico
March 7, 2018

"Hola Houston" is a campaign created by Visit Houston and is designed to attract more visitors from Mexico to the Houston-area.

Mexico is Houston's number one international market. More than 1,000 Houston companies report doing business with Mexico, and total trade between Houston and Mexico was valued at close to $17.7 billion in 2015. The region also offers 425 non-stop flights per week from Houston to almost 30 destinations in Mexico.

Recently, Houston representatives from Visit Houston, Marriott Hotels and the Houston Airport System held a relaunch event in Mexico City for the "Hola Houston" campaign. Houston Airports Chief External Affairs Officer Saba Abashawl promoted Houston Airports as a global gateway to the Americas and the new amenities available (new concessions, automated screening lanes, smart restrooms, etc.) at the airports as well as the welcoming and seamless arrivals process options at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) for international visitors flying into Houston.

Houston Airports works in close collaboration with the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau to promote existing routes, attract new routes and attract more visitors to the Houston area.
